Postipankki, Laiskan linna

1992 · Commercial · 33 seconds

Postipankki / Creator

You can pay your bills in the comfort of home and drop them into the nearest post box, with no need to barricade yourself in your “lazy castle”, as an easy chair is called in Finnish. The lion is the familiar symbol of the Post Office Bank, yellow like the post box. Drawn animation on paper.

An orange drawn lion peers round a white brick tower, tongue out, on paper-white ground. The drawn brick wall bursts open, bricks flying, an orange cloud above the break. The lion holds up a bill to a grey silhouette head that signs it with a pen. Arms in the air, the lion cheers as a grey figure carries an envelope out of a door. The lion’s face fills the frame before a night skyline, crescent moon and green grass. Grinning lion beside the caption POSTIPANKKI POSTISSA, one paw raised.

Heard in the film: “Katos laskuja! Laskuja, laskuja. Maksa pois! Miten maksat, kun pankki on kiinni? Postipankin maksupalvelu on aina auki. Ja etuasiakkaalle se maksaa vain markan. Vain markan? Tämä on Leijona-käyttötilin maksupalvelu. Laskut kuoreen ja lähimpään postilaatikkoon. Varsinainen pankkiautomaatti. Postipankki on yhtä lähellä kuin lähin postilaatikko. Leijona-käyttötili ja kätevä maksupalvelu. Kotipostistasi. Postipankki postissa.”
