Serlan Pehmo, tuli hätä

1980–1983 · Commercial · 30 seconds

Serla / Vistakuva

There is no animation in this at all. It is essentially one chase, camera down at child height and running, through a meadow of tall grass and oxeye daisies, past the corner of a grey timber barn, up wooden steps with a goose in the way, to a small outhouse half buried in undergrowth. The tension is a child's bladder and nothing else, the voice a child in a hurry, tuli hätä, hätä, hätä, mulla on kiire. The product waits at the end of the run as set dressing, a roll standing on the outhouse window ledge and seen through the glazing bars with the child reflected in the glass, which is a quieter way to a pack shot than holding one to camera. It finishes on a close view of legs with blue shorts round the knees and SERLA supered on the planks beside them, which reads as bold for a television break.

Low view running through tall grass and oxeye daisies under a blue sky. A grey timber barn with an open door, a white hen flapping across grass. Half hidden in long grass, a small outhouse with a window and porch. A girl in a yellow top runs along a track towards an open red door. A roll of Serla Pehmo on an outhouse window ledge behind a white frame. Close on a child’s legs, blue shorts round the knees, SERLA supered on planks.

Heard in the film, machine transcript, not checked: Että pitikin ja kesken pelin. Tuli hätä, hätä, hätä. Mulla on kiire. Tuolla on puuse. Voi ei. Täällä on pehmua. Serran pehmeää pehmua. Ja julkuun. Tässä on kaks paprua päällekkäin tehmaa.
