Teitten Ritari

A flat red devil, drawn in vermilion with a white muzzle, a yellow eye and a needle grin, rides in a real car, composited into live action shot from the back seat as the road runs past outside. He goads the driver on, standing on the upholstery, sprawling across the dashboard, straddling the steering wheel while the driver's real hands stay on it, crouching to point at the pale saloon that will not be overtaken. The scale keeps changing, from a small figure on the seat to a head that fills the frame beside the rear-view mirror, and in one shot his horned silhouette stands in the foreground while the driver's real eyes look back out of the mirror, so the man and the thing riding him share a single frame. The running commentary carries the film, "Paina kaasua!" ("Put your foot down!"), and the closing line names what has been sitting on the seat all along: "Teitten ritari ajaa salamatkustajan tiehensä. Kumpi sinun autoasi ohjaa?" ("The knight of the roads drives the stowaway away. Which of the two is steering your car?"). There is no product to show, so the film ends on a white card with a red heart inside a steering wheel over four named organisations, and then adds one more joke, the devil abandoned on the gravel verge with his thumb out for the next car.
