UPO Weather Forecast

UPO Weather Forecast, UPO Laundry Day and Siniviiri are three of the 13 spots made between 1986 and 1991. All of them had the same comedy duo, Heikki Kinnunen and Leo Lastumäki, giving their creative acting input to the very funny dialogue.

These were a great challenge for me as an animator, in lip sync and character acting, but so enjoyable when the voices gave so much to work on.

Two white UPO cabinets on blue, drawn dog-like faces on their doors, one paw reaching out. The taller cabinet cups drawn red strawberries in its paw while the shorter one looks on. Close on the tall freezer’s face, tongue out, a paw of strawberries at its mouth. The cabinet grins and gestures with a drawn paw under the banner UPO UUSI PAKASTUSAUTOMAATTI. Mouth wide open, the freezer tips a handful of drawn strawberries in. Back to both cabinets, the taller one lifting another paw of berries to its mouth.
