Miiru Mäyrä

Nami Nami is a series of seven commercials made between 1984 and 1990. Cel animation. Each time a new flavour came out, a new character was created and a new story made.

Three more of the seven are not on the tapes: Sateella ei voi muuta kuin haaveilla, when it is raining, one can only dream, with the beaver and raccoon characters; a banana flavour with a new monkey character; and the raccoon crashing into the beaver’s house.

Two drawn cubs, one tan and one dark red, meet in a pink snowy wood. The tan cub holds out a white pot; the red beaver stands with folded arms. A white and brown badger raises a paw to its mouth, pot of pudding beside. Holding a pot in one paw, the badger gestures with the other, snow behind. Close on the badger against yellow and white diagonal stripes, one paw raised. Three labelled pudding pots in the snow beside the Nami nami script and Valio oval. Heard in Miiru Mäyrä: “Onkos teillä mitään syötävää? Onhan meillä, ole hyvä. Banaanin ja suklaan makuinen Nami nami. Uusi banaanin makuinen suklaavanukas. Onko lisää? Kuka sä oikeastaan olet? Ystävänne, Miiru Mäyrä. Nami nami.”
